Refund and Returns Policy

Learn about the conditions, timelines, and procedures for requesting a refund at Jiyaway.

1. General Information

At Jiyaway, we are committed to providing a quality academic editorial service. We understand that situations may arise where a refund is necessary, and this policy establishes the conditions under which refunds are applicable.

This policy applies to all payments made through our platform via the Culqi payment gateway or other enabled payment methods.

2. When Refunds Apply

A refund may be requested in the following cases:

Before the review process begins

If the manuscript has not yet been assigned to reviewers, a full refund of the amount paid can be requested.

Billing error

If a duplicate charge was made or an incorrect amount was charged, the difference or additional charge will be refunded.

Service not provided

If for reasons attributable to Jiyaway the editorial service could not be completed, the corresponding refund will be processed.

Call for papers cancellation

If Jiyaway cancels a call for papers before completing the process, 100% of the payment will be refunded.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

Step 1: Submit your request

Write to pagos@jiyaway.com with your full name, transaction number or proof of payment, and the reason for your request.

Step 2: Evaluation

Our team will evaluate your request within 5 business days and notify you of the decision via email.

Step 3: Approval

If the request is approved, the refund will be processed to the same payment method originally used.

Step 4: Confirmation

You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed.

4. Timelines

The timelines for processing refunds are as follows:

Request evaluation

Up to 5 business days from the receipt of the complete request.

Refund processing

Up to 30 business days from approval, depending on the payment method and financial institution.

5. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • When the peer review process has already been completed.
  • When the manuscript has been published or is in the publication process.
  • When the author requests to withdraw their manuscript after the review has started, except in duly documented force majeure cases.
  • When the manuscript was rejected after the editorial evaluation process.
  • When more than 90 calendar days have elapsed since the payment date without a refund request.

6. Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the same payment method used in the original transaction. If this is not possible, an alternative method will be coordinated with the applicant.

Refunds are processed in Peruvian soles (PEN). For payments made in other currencies, the refund amount will be subject to the exchange rate in effect at the time of processing.
